TICs in the Region
The South East's network of Tourist Information Centres (TICs) deliver a range of services benefiting visitors to the area, the tourism industry and the wider local economy, including:
- Promoting the local area
- Distribution channels for information and collateral
- Business support and advice
- Booking services to increase business for tourism business including:
Accommodation providers
Visitor attractions
Events
Restaurants
Shops
Transport providers
The network's mission is to provide an unrivalled tourist information service that is accessible to all.
Its objectives are to:
- provide Tourist Information and Services tailored to the needs of consumers
- provide the highest standards of customer care
- be both expertly informed and impartial
- represent the best interests of all network stakeholders and the consumer
Tourism South East oversees the network within the region in terms of monitoring standards and provides a programme of operational advice, training and communication meetings in order to share best practice.
