Fresh Skills For Chefs
120 Chefs from around the South East can’t be wrong!
With the public being increasingly interested in locally sourced food, Tourism South East (TSE) is offering chefs in the Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure sector across the South East, a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills and attend Master Classes in a range of subjects that use fresh, local ingredients.
The project has been running since October 2007, and has held numerous activities including Master Classes and Chef Tours to Local Producers. It is funded by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA)
Master classes are generally delivered by Partner Colleges and the content of each will vary by region/college, but remain excellent value and allow chefs of any level to either refresh or improve their knowledge in fantastic topics. You’ve already missed Master Classes in Chocolate Heaven and Easter Chocolates, Fish and Shellfish, Breads and Pastries, as well as a day ‘Cooking in the Wild’ and ‘A Taste of Game’. Have a look at the Master Class Gallery to see more.
Working in partnership with the Local Food Groups across the South East, the project has taken Chefs out to meet Local Producers at their businesses. Have a look at the Chef Tour Gallery to see more. The Food Groups should be your first port of call for information on sourcing food locally around the region.
Please note: ALL bookings are taken centrally by the Training Team at Tourism South East. To book a place on any of the Master Classes please complete the application form.
However, there are lots of opportunities coming up, so why not read more about the heavily subsidised Master Classes:
