Tourism Skills Network South East

Tourism Skills Network South EastThe Tourism Skills Network South East was established in 2004 to promote the productivity and business competitiveness of the tourism sector across the South East.

The Tourism Skills Network aims to provide employers with a robust and efficient service to find suitable training solutions; and with funding where possible.  We are able to do this by having Skills Co-ordinators available across the south east.

Not only are we able to help track down courses already in existence, we can custom make courses or workshops especially for you and your team. For example, when asked to design a session for housekeeping staff, we developed a short course that included practical and theoretical elements; Health & Safety, COSHH and bed-making skills. A course of this nature didn’t previously exist, but was obviously needed, as it has since been requested by other regions.

We have organised training sessions ranging from ‘Marketing on a Shoe-String’ through to ‘Delivering Successful Eventsand ‘Dealing with Difficult People’. These can be run on your own premises if you have a large group to train or you can send individual team members to one of our popular ‘open’ training courses that we run regularly across the region.
