The Training Team (who we are & what we do)
Tourism South East is the Regional Tourist Board of the south east region of England.
We are the lead regional tourist board for tourism training in England with over 4,000 people attending our courses each year. We therefore have a large responsibility to constantly seek new learning opportunities to help businesses improve and remain competitive.
We are realistic that we can’t achieve this alone and therefore work closely with other partners across the region. In this way, we can help reduce the gap between skills and labour shortages, which are key issues for the sector and a top priority of the national and regional tourism strategies.
TSE delivers an ever increasing range and depth of support services; some of which you may not yet know about, so read on...
> We have a professional network of skills co-ordinators across the SE region who are employed specifically to visit businesses to help identify their training and development needs. Through their knowledge, they can help take away the time consuming job of trawling the Internet for suitable training solutions.
> TSE is in an enviable position of holding the national contract for the Welcome to Excellence suite of courses. This gives us a pivotal role in the future development of the most successful customer service training programme in the UK, and one which we hope will be maximised in the run up to 2012.
> Being the tourism training specialists in the region is a responsible job and we are happy to ‘step up to the mark’. Our team will take pleasure in being able to advise on specific company or individual learning and business support needs. To set us a training challenge, please get in touch.
