Sail South East has launched a new website to help visitors plan their leisure boating trips
The new website www.sailsoutheastengland.com is designed to enable domestic and overseas visitors who are not fully familiar with an area to plan their route and select their preferred harbours, marinas and moorings in the South East of England from Weymouth to Ramsgate.
Information is readily available online and also provides links to Coastal Authorities and tourism information sites, so that visitors can plan their leisure activities around their destinations. The design permits potential visitors to see the whole region at a glance, and then navigate within the website to individual locations.
Sam Bourne Sail South East Chairman said "The website is a fantastic resource for domestic and overseas visitors to the area. The South East Coast has so much to offer from lovely beaches and great sailing conditions to the delights of seaside towns, history and wildlife. We hope that by creating this website we will raise the awareness of the region and visitors will utilise the information provided making the most of their visit."
Sail South East is a mutual organisation, owned by its member Marinas, Harbours and coastal Authorities. The South East of England is a pre-eminent area for yachting tourism, both by UK residents (from within and outside the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) region) and from overseas.
