Hampshire Planning Seminar
The main purpose of this seminar was to disseminate information on potential hotel development across Hampshire.
Other subjects on the agenda covered the whole of the tourism spectrum including, Bed and Breakfast accommodation, self catering including camping and caravanning, and visitor attractions.
This sub-regional seminar followed on from a regional seminar that Tourism South East hosted in 2007.

Regional Seminar
The main purpose of the seminar was to promote the DCLG's 'Good Practice Guide on Planning for Tourism'.
The seminar was a great success and gave planners across the region the opportunity to liaise with representatives from the DCMS, Tourism SouthEast and the tourism industry in order to be best able to make planning decisions with tourism being a major consideration.

Speakers at the event included representatives from the DCMS and SEERA, two industry representatives from Tourism Solutions and the British Holiday & Home Parks Association, and Mark Smith from Bournemouth City Council.
