Current Initiatives
Working with National Governing Body's of Sport, Local Authorities, UK Sport, professional sports organisers and facility providers several sporting events have been secured into the region including:
The English National U19's Badminton Championships, which will be held at the K2 Centre in Crawley, West Sussex on 23 - 25 February.
Following a success of Table Tennis Grand Prix's in the region last year, SESE once again supports the Butterfly Grand Prix which will take place at the Triangle Leisure Centre, Burgess Hill, West Sussex on 09 - 10 June 2007.

The most famous cycle race in the world, the Tour de France, is coming to the region on 08 July 2007. The race - the biggest annual sporting event in the world - will travel from London, across Kent, with the first stage finishing in the Cathedral City of Canterbury.

Following on from the Tour de France, the World's Best Archers are to compete in Dover in the Archery World Cup 31 July - 05 August 2007. SESE are pleased to be supporting this event to help raise the profile of Dover as a destination and bring a major sports event to Dover. The event has been upgraded to World Cup status, which is expected to involve an estimated 400 of the best archers in the world.

An exciting addition to our current initiatives is the UK Juniors' Beach Volleyball Championships being held on Friday 31 August 2007. This sits alongside the national Grand Slam finals which will be staged in Brighton for the first time ever, on 01 - 02 September 2007. This is the climax of the Grand Slam national tour with the top 48 teams - male and female - competing over the two day tournament. SESE is happy to support the welcome addition of the UK Juniors event for younger competitors and hopes it encourages more young people into the sport.
SESE once again will be supporting Europe's premier 10 mile event, the Great South Run which takes place in Portsmouth on Sunday 28th October.
Another key badminton event will come to the region from Friday 30 November - Sunday 02 December 2007! SESE have stepped forward again to help take quality badminton back to Olympos at Burgess Hill in West Sussex.
