VE Sub Group ensures that, come 2012, the strength of our tourism and culture offer surpasses other non London regions of the UK by having a strong theme, professionally led by a cohesive, co-ordinated consortium.
The Visitor Economy Sub Group has released a draft strategy for optimising the potential benefit for the South East of the 2012 Games. Comments are welcome from all interested parties and contact details are contained within the document.
The Games will provide a great platform to boost the internationally marketing of the South East as a leisure, business and sporting destination and the group play an important part in providing competitive advantage and capitalising on these benefits.
The Group intends to use a 'winning' theme to attract conferences, conventions and exhibitions to the SE over the longer 8 year period and showcase our ability to welcome, host, enthral and attract visitors from all over the world.
